The south western exposure pours light into the veranda-like living area, furnished with bamboo furniture and built in bench seats for a unique flair. Internet was recently installed, and cell phone coverage is good for most providers.  Bring your own stereo or IPOD with speakers if you want music during your stay.  The resterant and spa at April Point resort is a short stroll away, and dock space is available just down the shoreline for guests' private boats.  Local fishing guides and wildlife tour operators will pick you up at the dock for guided trips to see the orcas and grizzly bears. Year-round, you'll enjoy the view of the mountains of Vancouver Island, lovely sunsets, and the night lights of Campbell River. As this is the main marine channel for the west coast, freighters, fish boats, ferries and other working vessels regularly travel the waters.
