This log cottage is great for families. The recently built deck wraps around 3 sides of the cottage, with lots of room for outside dining and enjoying the view of Drew Harbour. The property is nicely forested, offering privacy and shade for pets. There is a steep pathway that winds down the ridge to the beach below, where there is good storage for kayaks and canoes. The beach is shallow water entry, and when the tide is going out, this shoreline offers warmer water for swimming and wading. You can walk along the shoreline over to the creek, and past the campground onto trails that lead to the end of Rebecca Spit. The living space is all on the 2nd story of the house. The interior is all cedar logs, offering a rustic, cottage feel. The kitchen and dining area are at the back of the house, and the living room is towards the deck and the ocean. The space is nicely arranged in a U-shape with the bedrooms tucked at one end and the living area at the other end which works nicely for buffering noise from the dining area. There is a woodstove, a television for watching movies, and a small area offering a work space for a computer. Be aware that the internet connection is only dialup, so less work and more play is encouraged! There are 3 bedrooms; 2 have queen beds and the 3rd room has a twin bunkbed. There is also a double futon in the living room. One full bathroom is located down the hallway by the bedrooms, while the 2nd bathroom is located in the laundry room underneath the cottage. This is well-located for use from the beach, and there is a rough shower for washing off the salty ocean water. There is plenty of room down here for lifejackets, paddles, and beach toys.  Small boats may be moored out in Drew Harbour.
