By Car Ferry to Quadra Island Check the Quadra Island ferry schedule for departure times. During the summer months and long weekends overloads for the ferry are common, so plan to arrive early if possible. Located across Discovery Passage from Campbell River, Quadra Island is reached by a short 12 minute ferry ride. Ferries leave Campbell River hourly, on the ½ hour, with two exceptions: 5:25 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Other than that, the ferry leaves Campbell River on the ½ hour from 6:30 a.m. till 10:30 p.m. BC Seniors travel free Monday through Thursday except on holidays.
